PROFESSIONAL COMPUTER SECRETARY

Computer knowledge is essential for today's business office and is valued highly among potential employers. Iverson Business School's Professional Computer Secretary program is a specialized curriculum designed to offer students the computing knowledge needed to perform in the technological office environment. Graduates of this program will become integral members of any business staff, prepared with their knowledge of data entry, computer office software, 10-key, word processing, and computer operation. They will learn the necessary communication skills for effective client/coworker relationships and be provided with the opportunity to certify their typing speed, 10-key speed, editing skills and computer software specialties. Graduates of this program may find entry-level employment as office workers for businesses in all sectors of the economy (manufacturing, wholesale, retail, non-profit, service) and in a variety of positions including: Junior Secretary, Customer Service Specialists, Computer Operators, Office Assistants, Clerks, Data Entry Operators, Telemarketers, Word Processors, and Network Technician Trainees.

Program Objective: Students learn to apply data entry and word processing skills via computer in an office setting. Students develop proficiency in applying office skills, computers, and procedures to become accomplished in dealing with all business documents and forms applicable to the business office.

The approximate amount of time required for completion of the day Professional Computer Secretary program is thirty-two (32) weeks and the evening program is forty (40) weeks.
